Marshall
Cavendish Reference and Marshall Cavendish Digital Score Six of the "Twenty
Best Bets for Student Researchers 2008" from
Booklist.
Marshall
Cavendish Reference and Marshall Cavendish Digital dominated the
Booklist
register
of the best resources for students from 2008, combining to produce more than a
quarter of the year’s "Best Bets". The yearly feature from the
highly respected journal of the American Library Association included a number
of venerable publishers, but Marshall Cavendish led the way with six of the
year’s Twenty Best Bets.
Available in the September 1st edition
of the magazine, this year’s list of Best Bets includes a wide array of
Marshall Cavendish products deemed outstanding choices for school and public
libraries. In its first year of service,
Marshall Cavendish
Digital
was chosen for offering "product selectivity,
authoritative text, vivid images, and best-practice and user-friendly
navigational features that will encourage researchers and delight
browsers."
Diseases
and Disorders
was also named, as were
Exploring American History: From
Colonial Times to 1877, Exploring Mammals, Inventors and
Inventions,
and
World and Its Peoples: Eastern and Southern Asia.
Congratulations to the writers and editors who helped to create such a wide
array of great reference material!
