About
the Series
It’s no secret that human activities
affect the environment. To preserve Earth for future generations, we need to act
now. Educating today’s students to be tomorrow’s responsible adults
begins with providing them with the information they need about the
environmental problems we face today and what can be done to prevent them from
getting worse.
Each of the six books in
Environment in
Focus
addresses a specific environmental issue and uses cases
studies to show both positive and negative examples. Students will learn what
the most common pollutants are, how to reduce greenhouse gases, and why we need
to develop better methods of food production and waste management. Each book
also features a two-page world map spread, multiple diagrams and graphs, and
practical ideas to help students make a difference.
